A time to reflect as 2014 draws to a close.

The year is almost over, the picture is of Mirror Lake in New Zealand,a perfect reflection of the mountain above it.

Looking back can be useful to help shape the future. You should not dwell though as the time has been and gone; life is about moving forward because standing still is in fact moving backwards as the world around you moves on.

2014 was another great year with the addition of our beautiful, amazing Benjamin to the team of adventurers. He is looking forward to spending time with his beautiful sisters Bryony and Georgia on adventures to National Trust places.

We have again had some great travels including the Peak District, North Yorkshire, Northumbria and on the other side of the world in New Zealand where Benjamin met his Auntie Katie and Uncle Andrew for the first time and watched them get married on Christmas Eve.

So what does 2015 bring? Have you set a goal or a resolution for 2015? let us know below.

Happiness is what I want for 2015. So more of the same but each adventure is different, we learn new things and meet new people. I write this post as we stay in someone's house in Christchurch, I booked it via AirBNB and our next stop is a hostel.

This is a new experience for me and one that I would never have tried but it is important to give things a go AND look for the positives as there are always positives.

We saved some cash
Met some really nice people
Stayed in a neighbourhood and not a faceless hotel

So some quick tips to happiness in 2015

Be with positive people, I met Gemma and am so happy.
Smile a lot it makes you feel happy and people around you.
Laugh every day, as the Mary Poppins song goes ‘I love to laugh'.
Use your days off to go on an adventure even if it is to your local park.
